The BBC will be showing the latest season of Family Guy in a few months time. They contacted us with the details explaining that they will show Season 7 in late spring. It is almost certain that the new episodes will be shown weekly on a Sunday at 10:00pm, this is the current time slot for replays. More information should be released soon.
The third Star Wars film "Return of the Jedi" will be getting the Family Guy treatment as a new special episode of Family Guy entitled "Episode VI: The Great Muppet Caper" is planned for production. This film-type spoof will follow "Blue Harvest" and the upcoming "Something, Something, Something, Dark Side" episode making it the third Family Guy/Star Wars parody so far. A release date has not been confirmed but it is likely to air in Fall 2009 or Spring 2010.
Fox have now confirmed that Volume 7 of Family Guy will be released on 16th June, the DVD will continue with the episodes that were not in Volume 6 starting with "Back To The Woods" and ending with episodes from the current Season 7. All of the features are not yet known but the 2008 Comic Con will be included and total running time will be about 500 minutes. The retail price will be around $40 and box art should be available soon. Global versions have not yet been discussed.
